On the Data Science team, the Data Architect's purpose is to manage and optimize the flow of data and information across our organization.
This role requires strong technical expertise in data architecture, as well as a deep understanding of data management principles, techniques, and best practices.
The Data Architect is responsible for designing and implementing scalable and efficient data solutions, ensuring data security, accuracy, and accessibility, and providing technical leadership and guidance to the data science team.
They are responsible for aligning the framework with business processes to make the data collection, storage, transformation, and usage more meaningful and standardized.

Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level data architectures, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
Define and enforce data management standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data solutions.
Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories to provide a comprehensive view of the organization's data assets.
Identify and evaluate new data technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance data architecture capabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data integration and data migration strategies.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the data science team, mentoring junior data professionals and promoting best practices.
Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data architectures and database systems.
Perform data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and develop strategies for data cleansing and remediation.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to align data architecture initiatives with overall business strategies and goals.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in data management and architecture and provide recommendations for improvements and innovations.
Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to ensure seamless integration of data solutions.
Participate in data governance initiatives and ensure adherence to data governance policies and standards.
Cater to certain Ad-hoc work requests.
Skills and Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems / Data Science / Computer Science / Statistics / Mathematics / Engineering or a related field6
years of experience in a data science or related role.
Experience with various components of data architecture, such as - data pipelines, cloud storage mechanisms, API's and user interface, AI and ML models, data warehousing/lakehouse and streamlining, real-time analytics, etc.
Not Required but beneficial:
Certified SQL Certified SQL, Advanced Queries Python for Data Science & Machine Learning R for Data Science & Machine Learning Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $88,000 and $109,000.
This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
