The primary responsibilities of a Patient Service Representative include:
Answer telephones to support all administrative aspects of a patient's experience with the UH Connor Whole Health Accurate and efficient patient registration Procedure scheduling Charge transmittals Support referrals Collections Procurement Quality customer service techniques to ensure patient needs are met Maintain professional interpersonal skills with patients, physicians and co-workers Supports department operations as needed Qualifications Experience & Knowledge:
Proven customer service experience and orientation Excellent verbal/communication skills Basic computer knowledge Detail oriented Typing skills, 30 wpm Ability to maintain confidentiality in a healthcare setting required Min of 1 year related experience as a Secretary/Receptionist required.
Customer service experience preferably in the medical field.
ICD9 coding and Medical terminology preferred Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge:
Demonstrated experience learning and utilizing software programs in a work environment required.
Education Requirements:
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or greater is strongly preferred.

Qualifications:
Min of 1 year related experience as a Secretary/Receptionist required.
Customer service experience preferably in the medical field.
The main responsibility of this position will be patient scheduling as an agent for Connor Whole Health's scheduling line, but will be cross-trained to perform other front office tasks.
There could be an opportunity, once fully trained, to work remotely some days.
This position is 16 hour per week, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
More hours are possible as PTO coverage for other days of the week are required.
