2 Quick Apply Full-time 4 hours ago Full Job Description Overview The Global Key Account & Commercial Excellence Manager is responsible for developing and leading a 3-5-year strategic plan the management, and growth of the Coatings and Construction Division's (CC) most important customers whose value is estimated between EUR300 & EUR500M in revenue and accounts for approximately 50% of CC gross margin.
This highly visible role will work directly with the Business Units' sales managers and leaders to develop and execute account plans, standardize key performance indicators, and optimize best practices.
Additionally, this high-profile position requires supporting the SBU teams by engaging customers at all levels, including executive and senior teams, procurement, operations, and technical with the goal of increasing Synthomer's account penetration to drive profitable growth.
The Global Key Account & Commercial Excellence Manager will also be responsible for overseeing and directing the platforms, tools, and processes that drive sales force effectiveness and business intelligence across the Coatings and Construction Division.
Job Responsibilities Build and maintain strategic relationships with key contacts at the Director, VP and Executive levels to present and position the Coatings & Construction business, and create value added, win-win and professional relationships.
Overall responsibility for approximately 35 global key accounts, to foster growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction Develop and drive account development plans including business case (pricing strategy, agreement definition and customer service strategy) and ensure it is aligned with the overall business unit strategy Maintain regular check-ins with sales team's direct leadership to determine how sales opportunities are tracking against plan and identify any problems for internal review and problem solving Influence, lead and engage a global team of sales and account managers Analyze and evaluate strategic account plans and track progress towards realization of tactical and strategic objectives associated with that plan Drive key business insights through the design of dashboards to track sales force effectiveness, program efficacy, and ensure the adoption of sales automation tools.
Accountable for Commercial Excellence initiatives within Coatings & Construction division, coordinating with Business Unit leadership to ensure team is supporting key decision making.
Develop & Coach sales team to achieve Mastery of value proposition selling and disciplined innovation to maximize return from existing business Lead the development of new profitable growth across key accounts.
In partnership with identified account managers and associated accounts:
Accountable for volume and margin performance Leads the development of new profitable growth opportunities across the accounts and regions while supporting existing business Responsible for aligning overall account strategy and Budget objectives to overall strategic plan for the business; effectively executes growth and margin management strategies Leads the development of customer relationship at all levels of the organization; to include leveraging Innovation, Marketing, and Senior Leadership team members as appropriate to strengthen customer relationship Collaborates and communicates across functions and levels of the Synthomer organization to address account needs and generate support and direction for growth within key accounts.
Ensure that platforms & systems provide the support & flexibility needed by the Sales & Marketing stakeholders.
Establish sales plans and provide analysis and controls through sales reporting and sales performance measures.
Identify potential improvements, best practices, and unseen opportunities / risks by analyzing data across the Americas, Europe, and Asia Lead a portfolio of initiatives, build consensus, and drive the adoption of best practices, capabilities and tools that collectively make Commercial Excellence a differentiating core competency.
Directly partner with the Group Commercial Excellence teams, sharing best practices, representing, and advocating for Coatings and Construction Division in the context of the overall business strategy.
In conjunction with the business units, links commercial strategies and initiatives supporting opportunity identification and the development of metrics used to measure success.
Qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in Technical or Business Discipline 10 years of experience in the Specialty Chemicals Space with demonstrated progression in complexity, and delivery of solution-driven Customer Project Management Global team leadership and management experience.
5-years of demonstrated track record as a Customer Project Management professional within Specialty Chemical industry, preferably within the CASE industry Experience dealing with customers including sales, problem resolution, negotiation skills, and relationship building Networking and leadership skills Ability to work in a collaborative matrix sales leadership role Energy, passion, and commitment to success Demonstrated strong business and financial acumen Strong Key Account Planning experience; identification of a long-range growth goal within Key Accounts, and experience identifying and executing a plan.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to travel internationally Preferred Qualifications Market and customer knowledge in Coatings and Construction industries.
