Summary:
Reports to Store Team Leader, Associate Store Team Leader and Regional Coordinator. Provide overall management and supervision of the Seafood Department. Responsible for Team Member hiring, training, and development. Also responsible for profitability, expense control, buying/merchandising, regulatory compliance, and special projects as assigned. Complete accountability for all aspects of department operations.
DUTIES:
Set and achieve the highest standards in retail execution.
Model and provide our customers with outstanding customer service.
Train and lead an outstanding team in a manner consistent with regional vision and standards.
Implement and fully support all regional programs.
Establish a positive work environment and maintain high team morale.
Interview, select, train, develop and counsel Team Members in a manner that builds and sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover. Make hiring and termination decisions with guidance of Store Team Leader.
Consistently communicate and model Whole Foods Market Goals and Core Values.
Communicate and maintain Team Member safety and security standards.
Provide timely, thoughtful, and thorough performance evaluations.
Develop and maintain creative store layout and product merchandising.
Select and develop Associate Team Leaders and Supervisors as potential Team Leaders.
Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices.
Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.

REQUIREMENTS:
2-3 years of management experience in seafood retail or equivalent.
Ability to creatively merchandise in and out of Seafood Department.
Strong knowledge of department financials and labor.
Ability to multi-task, excellent follow-through and ability to see the big picture.
High energy, enthusiasm and the willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Excellent customer service skills and high standards of excellence.
Thorough knowledge of and adherence to all relevant Whole Foods Market policies, company mission and standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Able to lead and motivate a diverse group of Team Members.
Focused and committed to customer service, training, retail excellence, and food safety.
Knowledge of and a desire to learn about natural and organic foods and products
Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings and holidays.
Certified purchaser experience preferred, and in the NE region is required.
Essential Job Functions:
Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat.
Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds. Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
